Attractions

We are located directly behind the amazing woodlands of Cook Forest State Park which is one of the largest old growth forests on the east coast of America. Though our private property is only 3 acres, the park itself is near 6500 acres of unbroken woodlands! The great Clarion River runs through the park right down the road from our property and is perfect for kayaking, canoeing, inner tubing and fishing. Other than the park itself, there are some amazing businesses and human made attractions to explore here as well. Here are just a few examples of the amazing things to discover in Cook Forest State Park!

  • Carr Farm- The Carr farm is a local family owned and operated market garden offering fresh naturally grown vegetables, herbs, fruits, chicken and duck eggs right on site just past the state park. Pick your own vegetables and grab a carton of farm fresh eggs to get a taste of Western PA's produce.
  • North Country Trail- The NCT is the largest scenic trail in America, even larger than the Appalachian Trail, and it runs directly through Cook Forest State Park and right down the road from our property.
  • State Park trails- Cook Forest features over 47 miles of hiking trails through ancient old growth forest and along the beautiful Clarion River.
  • Canoeing- There are two well-known canoe rental businesses in the forest that launch guests into the river for an afternoon of fast flowing fun!
  • Local restaurants- There are several local spots that offer hearty American cuisine and some seasonal pop-up restaurants
  • Horseback Riding- A large attraction to our area is horseback trail riding through the forest and there are several such businesses around the area.
